Dear Supporters:   HAPPY NEW YEAR

What a December we had! The West Bend Community stepped up in a big way to save the West Bend Community Aquatics Center located at the High School.

649 people bought raffle tickets for the Packer tickets and the TV donated by Kettle Moraine Appliance & TV. 62 people attended the Green & Gold party fundraiser. Our prize winners were:

3rd Prize of $100: Ross Thompson of Slinger

2nd Prize: Packers Bears Tickets: Roy Bucheger of Hubertus

Grand Prize: LG LED LCD TV: Val Bonney of Hartford

We have also had great turn outs at Jumbos, Texas Roadhouse, Benders and Jeff's Spirits on Main. And we had companies and organizations step up to buy pool banners such as The Camera Case, Star Properties, ShopKo, West Bend Tire and West Bend Swim Club. We'd like to thank everyone who has made such a commitment to keep this pool viable for the next generation.

We are in the final stages of running the numbers from all our promotions. We are relatively confident we have achieved our goal but want to make sure prior to announcing anything.

We also had a great meeting with the School District regarding our efforts. Senior leadership were very impressed by the commitment the community made in this effort and was very supportive of our plan to save the pool.   

2011 Pool Promotions

Business, Foundation & Club Sponsorships: We have just secured our first wall banner donation sposorships from West Bend Tire, Kettle Moraine Appliance & TV, West Bend Swim Club, The Camera Case, ShopKo and Star Properties.  Beach/Swim Towels: Due to the generosity of a supporter, 30"x60" printed swimming towels are now available. Due to the matching funds, every $25 donation will effectively contribute $50 to save the pool and you get a towel. Get two for $40! perfect for gifts. Co-Chairmen of West Bend Schools Need Pools!

 

Oct 2010: We have received a 15 year commitment to keeping the West Bend Community Aquatics Center open if we raise the necessary funds through community sponsorship.  Our initial fund drive has netted us a state-of-the-art solar heating system for the facility that is saving over 40% of the heating cost at no upgrade cost to taxpayers!

Our next target is $58,000 to replace the 30 year old lighting with flourescent ballasts that will be significantly more energy efficient. We are looking for businesses who would consider aiding us in this project as well.  The lighting will be installed as soon as funds are available. 

Private individuals, companies and foundations want to keep this facility for our community so that residents looking for recreation and wellness, competition swimmers, student athletes, Park & Rec swim students, Special Olympics and others around the county contunue to have a low-cost public aquatics facility to use.. 

Save this facility through a tax-deductible donation, sponsorship or by signing our Testimonial/Words of Support page. Even small donations make a big difference. Together, we can keep this facility from "going down the drain". Thank you for your support!
